"On January 17th, 2014, Christopher Gustave was found dead in his apartment after an overdose of anti-depressants. Within days of his passing, hundreds of his friends and supporters organized and began gathering together his works of art. Christopher Gustave's immense conceptual art book The Six Comforts, 348 pages in total, more than 308 full color, will be printed as a tightly-limited edition.

Gustave conceived of the 'Six Comforts' as a method for living in response to personal tragedy, primarily the death by heroin overdose of his best friend, Daniel Brack, in San Francisco, on September 13th, 1996. Over the next several years, he focused his creative output in book design, conceptual art, collage and assemblage within a framework of this 'sorting construct' of the Six Comforts: key components of a method of living in opposition to super-cultural alienation, and unrecoverable loss." — The Six Comforts on Indiegogo
